Home » WorkshopsSenior leader modules Last updated February 2025 Welcome to the senior leaders training modules, designed to help decision-makers integrate nature-related considerations into strategy and governance. The six modules guide learners through:. The ‘Why’ – Modules 1-2 – the foundational concepts of business and nature including the financial implications and the imperative to act. The ‘What’ – Modules 3-4 – current industry practice and how organisations are responding. The ‘How’ – Modules 5-6 – practical exercises for learners to explore how their organisations can implement learnings. Who are these materials for ? These materials support professionals delivering training to individuals with strategic decision-making responsibility and oversight of teams, divisions or organisations. Designed for corporates and financial institutions, they provide an introductory foundation for nature-related assessment and disclosure. Notes for trainers The materials must be adapted for different audiences, regions and sectors in line with the Responsible Use Guidelines. Please refer to the trainer handbook for details on how to adapt the modules. Senior leader module 1 – The world we live in and the nature-business nexus The opening module encourages senior leaders to reflect on the state of nature within the broader context of global trends. Through key facts and figures, it highlights nature loss, shifting stakeholder expectations and the urgent need to adapt beyond business-as-usual practices. Senior leader module 4 – The TNFD recommendations Module 4 provides an overview of good practice through the lens of the LEAP approach and/or the TNFD recommended disclosures. It offers tangible examples of how the TNFD framework is being put into practice. Trainers should supplement this module with practical examples from their own experience and the TNFD supporting case studies.
