The current state of nature-related data available to, and usable by, market participants is key to enabling nature-related assessment and reporting. And access to quality, findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable nature-related data is key to an organisation understanding its nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities. TNFD, along with its expert partners, has developed a roadmap for facilitating access to and application of nature-related data – a Nature-related Data Public Facility (NDPF). Hosted by Tony Goldner Chief Executive Officer, TNFD For over two decades, Tony has advised government, financial sector and philanthropic leaders on a range of strategic challenges at the intersection of business, finance and public policy. These include centre of government reform, national economic development strategy and the architecting of green finance investment opportunities. He began his career in the Australian diplomatic service before moving into the private sector, first in investment banking where he focused on infrastructure project financing and then in strategy consulting as a Partner at Monitor Deloitte and as an adviser with the World Bank Group. Guests Cathrine Armour Director of Data Initiatives, TNFD Cathrine is the global Director of Data Initiatives for the Task Force on Nature Related Disclosures (TNFD). Previously she was Chief Responsible Investment Solutions Officer for the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Leading the delivery of PRI’s 2023 Reporting Cycle a 98.5% uptake of members reporting was achieved following redesign of the reporting framework, reporting tool and data platform. She is a seasoned leader of strategic, policy-centric organisations - leveraging science and technology to achieve cross-cutting innovation and research. During her tenure as Chief Customer Officer at the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), Cathrine led the organisations global commercial portfolio, realising annual revenues more than £160m, delivering marine data solutions that support safe, secure, and thriving oceans. Having founder her career in geospatial data and technology she is an advocate for open data and committed to the value of data in answering mission critical questions in global policy development and decision-making including commercialisation and economic development. This has included establishing the Southwest Centre of Excellence for Satellite Applications as inaugural Director, founding Ordnance Survey’s Award Winning ‘Geovation’ Accelerator and Hub and leading the international Eye on Earth programme for global cooperation in the use and access of environmental data for sustainable development. Cathrine holds a BSc Environmental Studies from James Cook University, Postgraduate Certificate in Business and Technology from the University of New South Wales, and studied sustainability, leadership and impact at Said Business School, University of Oxford. She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and presently serves as an Advisory Board Member for the National Centre for Earth Observation, and Independent Member of the Board of Governors, Falmouth University. Currently she is completing a Master of Science in Applied Positive Psychology. Her academic interest lay at nexus of activist leadership, decision intelligence, and environment and society. Kimberly Mathisen CEO, HUB Ocean Kimberly Mathisen is a CEO and board member who loves the challenge of helping organizations find new sources of energy and growth and more innovative and sustainable business models. In January 2022, Kimberly became the CEO of HUB Ocean, a non-profit foundation aimed at becoming the world’s ocean data collaboration hub. Their goal is to change the fate of the ocean by unleashing the power of data, technology, and collaboration. She has more than 25 years of experience in the private sector in Digitalization and Technology, Branded Consumer Goods, and Pharmaceuticals in North America, Europe and Asia, most recently leading a period of enormous growth and transformation as the General Manager of Microsoft Norway. She also serves on the Supervisory Board of Bayer AG and the Board of Directors of Aker Biomarine, Aker Horizons and Aize. She has been named as one of Norway’s most influential leaders by Kapital and one of Norway’s top female executives in technology by Abelia and Oda Network. Simon Zadek Co-CEO, Nature Finance Simon Zadek is the Co-CEO at Nature Finance and has worked on sustainability and finance for several decades including leading the G20 secretariat serving its green finance workstream and running a task force on digital finance and the SDGs for the UN Secretary General. In addition, he has written and published extensively, including the award-winning book, ‘The Civil Corporation’. Simon has been a senior adviser to TNFD, supporting various aspects of its technical development, since its inception in June 2021. Neha Dutt Policy Lead – Greening Finance, Government of the UK, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Wendy Elliott Global Biodiversity Practice Leader, WWF Wendy Elliott is the Leader of the Biodiversity Practice at WWF-International, based in Nairobi Kenya. Wendy has worked at the intersection between conservation science, policy and practice for most of her career, driving the delivery of key initiatives and innovations for biodiversity across the WWF ecosystem and beyond. Wendy is a published biologist with a background of field-based conservation in three continents. David Croft Group Head of Sustainability, Reckitt Erin Billman Executive Director, SBTN Dorothy Maseke Lead, Nature Finance & TNFD,, FSD Africa Ms. Dorothy Maseke is currently leading FSD Africa’s Nature Finance and TNFD Programme. She is also driving the growth of the African Natural Capital Alliance (ANCA) as the Head of Secretariat. She has previously been the project lead for the implementation of the UNEP FI’s Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI) at ICEA LION Group, where she was heading the Risk and Compliance department. Together with the UNEP PSI and FSD Africa, she was instrumental in the co-creation and launch of the Nairobi Declaration on Sustainable Insurance in support of the SDGs in 2021. She has represented Africa in several Taskforces such as the TCFD Insurer Pilot Group and the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF). Ms. Maseke is currently the Deputy Chairperson of the Institute of Risk Management UK’s Global Board. She is also a Board member of Safaricom Money Transfer Services Ltd and World Vision Kenya. Ms. Maseke was named one of the Top40Under40 Women in Kenya as well as one of the Top 50 Women in Insurance in Africa in 2022.
