The Biodiversity Integrated Assessment and Computation Tool (B-INTACT) can be used to assess and track how sourcing affects nature through biodiversity loss as a result of land and habitat transformation for agricultural production and land use intensity. The metric allows comparison of potential impacts across different sourcing locations and between commodities; it allows a company to undertake a rapid risk-screening of its sourcing in order to identify where the greatest impacts are likely to occur, thereby helping to prioritise further investigations and interventions.
