Home » Disclosure recommendationsAnnual Status Report 2025 – Market insights survey The 2025 Annual Status Report will mark a milestone in tracking the global uptake of nature-related financial disclosures. The TNFD recommendations were formally released in September 2023 to help organisations globally integrate nature into their decision-making and disclosure practices and to contribute to the global challenge of halting and reversing the decline in the resilience of nature upon which we all depend. For our inaugural Annual Status Report, we are conducting a survey of financial institutions and corporates across various geographies and sectors to understand the current state of nature-related financial reporting and identify implementation challenges. Whether your organisation is a financial institution, a publicly-listed company, a privately-owned business in the real economy or a professional services firm, your insights are essential. We invite you to participate in this short survey to help track global progress and improve future guidance on nature-related risk assessment and reporting. About the surveyThe survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. It is intended to be answered from an organisational perspective and from those within the organisation who are involved in nature-related assessment, sustainability strategy, finance, risk or disclosure activities. All responses will remain confidential and will only be reported in aggregated form. The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, 1 August 2025 Who should complete the survey? The survey is open to all interested stakeholders, but we are particularly interested in responses from report preparers and report users from: Publicly-listed companies Privately-owned businesses of all sizes Financial institutions (including banks and insurers) Asset managers, asset owners Data providers Professional service providers (e.g., consulting, legal, accounting, data services firms) The survey is designed for individuals involved in assessment, strategy, reporting and/or disclosures of nature-related issues – including sustainability, risk, finance and compliance teams across corporates, financial institutions and service providers. How will your input be used? Your insights will directly inform our inaugural Annual Status Report, being released in September 2025 during Climate Week NYC. Responses will remain confidential and will only be reported in aggregated form. Respondents have the option to share your organisation’s name with us upon completion of the survey. This report will provide a key snapshot of market progress, highlight challenges and shape the next phase of TNFD support for organisations worldwide. Disclaimer & Privacy Policy The survey is administered by TNFD Secretariat. All responses will be kept confidential and will not be attributed to either you or your organisation without your express permission. If you have any questions or concerns about the survey process, please contact [email protected]. By filling out and submitting this survey, you agree to our Privacy Policy and to learn more about TNFD. Market insights survey The deadline for completing the survey is Friday, 1 August 2025.
