The use case is divided in two parts: The use of Forest IQ within financial institutions Satellite-based verification of Forest IQ results Key outcomesThrough the analysis of data from Forest IQ and interviews with various financial institutions using the platform, it is clear that data on deforestation, ecosystem conversion and related human rights abuses is a simple and accessible gateway to applying the TNFD's LEAP approach. Forest IQ provides a reliable source of information to help identify and disclose the impacts, dependencies and risks of different companies and sectors. Forest IQ also provides indicators of what each company is doing to mitigate risks at a policy level, which then allows financial institutions to develop and implement targeted strategies to directly address any gaps or deficiencies identified.
