Halting and reversing nature loss, as described in the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), will require significant changes to business practices across all sectors. Transition planning offers a way to manage an organisation’s responses and contributions to this transition in a coherent, structured way.
In October 2024, the TNFD published a discussion paper setting out draft guidance on nature transition planning for corporates and financial institutions. Feedback was received through a 3-month consultation that closed in February 2025.
The TNFD has now started a piloting programme with a group of corporates and financial institutions putting the draft guidance into practice to generate further insights on how to refine the draft guidance. Findings from the consultation and piloting will be incorporated into the final TNFD guidance on nature transition plans to be released in late-2025.
This webinar will cover findings from the public consultation, information on the piloting programme and plans for finalising the guidance.
